🌺 Calling All Crafters! 🌺
Help Us Create a Stunning Poppy Cascade for Remembrance Sunday
Are you a knitter, crocheter, or crafty recycler? Whether you're a seasoned maker or simply love getting creative, we'd love your help with an inspiring community project at St Peter’s Church.
This year, we’re building an eye-catching poppy cascade in church to mark Remembrance Sunday — and we need handmade poppies to bring it to life.
You can contribute by:
- Knitting or crocheting your poppies
- Using recycled materials, such as the bottoms of plastic drinks bottles
We have pattern suggestions (see links below), but feel free to use your own design. There's no need for uniformity — every poppy is a unique part of our shared remembrance. Just make sure to leave a tail or string on your poppy so we can easily attach it to the structure.
Let’s craft something beautiful together, in honour and in hope.
We have collection baskets in each of our Blackley churches (St Andrew's, St Paul's and St Peter's) where you can drop off your contributions over the summer. Contact us if you would like us to collect them from you instead.
